I'm a dynamic thinker.

In 16 hours time, i'd be fastening my seatbelt as Jetstar prepare for take off. I'm excited but yet i fear. I fear that i can't get the best out of it. I'd be wasting time, money and most importantly, a big chance for me to grow alot. But if God had planned for me to go LC and not Kuching, He must have His reasons.

I'm going to go there with a heart of expectancy. God, i'm so gonna meet You in HongKong on a whole new level. Hongkong, i'm coming. God, i know You're waiting. :)

I remember someone once said that i'd never make it to missions abroad, because of my parents. With faith, i said one day i will.

Just the day before yesterday, Daniel said that there was still slots for missions trip. I didn't really dare asking my parents about it because they'd probably give me a 'hairdryer treatment'. In addition, i have to study. However, I knew the trip would benefit me alot. Thus, i asked God to change my heart and make me fight for it. He did nothing but reminded me of my people. If i'm going to learn, my people are going to benefit. It seemed as if it was really God who was was prompting me to give it a try and ask my parents as i suddenly remembered Shirley's CLM teaching - courage.

With faith and courage, i threw the request at my dad. As i explained, i knew God was with me. I went on to mention about the HongKong LC unknowingly. To my suprise, my dad said he'd think about it. I went back to my room, unsure of what will happen but i knew God was in control. Minutes later, my dad came in and said that he'll let me go for HongKong LC instead because HongKong is safer than KuChing. To me, the reason was lame. But precisely because its lame, i know its God.

As fear comes, courage follows with faith.
Faith and courage comes together.
Just like Jesus and love.

I don't get why things came out this way, i kept believing till the end. I really don't know what You have in mind. Its Os, not common tests. Honestly, the feeling sucks because i gave all i had. Tell me why Lord, tell me.

Everyone could see that i was relying on You, You know how much i did. I know You have the best plan for me, i know i have to follow it. Its Your plan that i'm following, not victory road. Even if i don't see it, i have to follow. Perhaps this is what faith is called.

The SJI caregroup had restructuring and we have 2 different CGs now. "CD1.0" & "CD1.1".

I'd be leading CD1.0 with the sec3s and 2s under me. Before this, i thought life would be easier after CD1 had grown and i'd be able to concentrate on my studies. Somehow, God planned otherwise. With more people under me, the greater is the responsibility. Many people are watching me, be it in ministry or studies. This pressure i'm receiving is tremendous. In order to "survive", i'd need lots of wisdom, discipline, time and effort...

Honestly, i've got none.

Out of the 4 canoeists being commended right infront of the whole school today, one was from Yhope.
Out of the 4 relay runners of the SJI track team that have a high chance of getting gold in Nationals, 3 are from Yhope.

On saturday night, one of my sheeps told me how hard he is going to serve and that he is going to chiong with me. He told me to make my house avaliable for him if in any case, he gets kicked out of house. Its all or nothing.

They are the reason why i'm going to serve even harder.
They are my motivation.

During service today, i was again thinking of the decision i made not to DSA. Then i said: "Lord, Honor me. You have to make SJI grow.". I've always had the mindset that God will surely honor me for what i've done. Well, He must.
But i realised something new today. I was having the wrong mindset all along. Then i told God, " Lord, use me to Honor You. Use me to make SJI grow.". I think God moved in my heart, He sure hit me hard.

I finally caught Zach's spirit. Now i understand what he means by dreaming. And also, completing SJI is not what i'm called to do. I want to complete SJI, because i want to win the world.

Had CG at jiao's house today. When i was on my way, i was thinking when was the last time i had CG at his house. It was 2 years ago. It came to me that i was a nobody back then. But now, things are different. My thoughts then drifted to the ACS(I) picture that was shown yesterday in the vision night. In the 7 people of the ACS(I) 4years ago, i see hope of the world being won.

So i asked myself, what about SJI?

I challenged my people today. I'm glad that God touched them through me.

I've always said i'm crazy for God but my actions don't back it up. This time, God placed something big in me again.

To go to the principal and propose to him to let the sji cg talk to the school's sec 1s during one of their "religous and moral education" class. SJI is a catholic school to start with and whatsmore i'm just merely a sec 4 student. Its obvious that the odds are against me. You can call me insane or whatever but bet your last dollar that i'm still going to do it. It will probably be the biggest thing i've ever done for Christ so far.

I'm unsure, i'm afraid, i'm powerless.
But i believe i'll soon see passionate people in this together with me.
Plus, God is on our side.

When i was on the train to CCK on Monday, i was again thinking if the decision i've made not to DSA was right. Millions of excuses started invading my mind, prompting me to go back on my word.

DSA-ing to SAJC would mean i need not worry about my O's that much anymore. This is because i already have one foot in a good JC. DSA-ing to SAJC would also mean that i'd be one of the stars in my CCA in my future JC. Even if i DSA, i'd still be able to lead my cg and stay in central. Only that its not as efficient. Whatsmore, i've been wanting to get into SAJC since secondary 1. I'm just 2 months away from confirming a place there.

The feeling is definitely sour when you see all your friends DSA-ing their way through. Not needing to bother about what comes after it. For example- Jem,Jang,Jiao all DSA-ing to RJC.

Honestly, even up till now, i'm still not fully satisfied with my own decision. But God further convicted me as i talked to the people under me yesterday. I have to make sacrifices in order to lead them into being able to make future sacrifices. And the most important thing, eternities are in my hands. I can't afford to make mistakes.

Therefore, i choose to stick to my decision - not to DSA.
I'm sure He will honor me.

Being impatient is the nature of most men. We can't wait to win, we love glory, we love "face". Men think chionging is the fastest and best way to glory. But perhaps God thinks otherwise. He slows us down so that we can go further. That is why sometimes he takes away opportunities in our life - to humble and slow us down.

Many people give up serving God for personal fame because they desire for temporal glory now. Not knowing that God has "saved the best for the last".
We'll have to slow down and focus on what's waiting for us.
In a race, the runner only gets his glory after the race when he receives his medal.

This is because every single one of them fought really hard to come for this camp. I can feel that Satan is scared of us, i'm not sure why but i suppose it's a good thing. He is trying to stop us all(including me) but he has only managed to stop one. God, help me bear all Satan's attack for 5 more days till camp.

Gotten my results back today. In my opinion, my results were like crap. But thanks to God's grace, many others did much worse. LOL. And so, today didn't turn out as bad as i expected. Even though i know that this is not my best, but it is evident that i did alot more for this term's MYE. The surprising thing is that i'm happy and satisfied, probably because i know that i've at least made some effort. If not for God, i'd have done worse.

My L1R5 of 24 and failing of 2 subjects looked almost like an "above-average" result throughout the level. Imagine how badly we've done. Lol.

Back from the hockey fiesta at Boon Lay. We got 4th in the U-17 category, which was not bad considering the fact that we're off-season for 2months. But losing only in the semis and the 3rd/4th placing match sucks. Whatsmore by getting 4th position, you get nothing. But oh well, i'd rather be concentrating on CD1 and DSA now.
We had a new convert yesterday! A sec2 tracker named Justin. I can see God starting to move as we get ourselves ready. Getting every single cg member to grow is key, as the group grows as fast as its slowest growing member. So God, please help me make sure of that.

It always bothers me whenever i can't figure out what God is trying to do. For example, an unanswered prayer. I've always taken much faith in what God says and what i've told Him, that is why i get disappointed whenever there is an unanswered prayer. But everytime, i'd try to figure out the reason/plan that God had in mind when He didn't answer me. Often, i'd be able to figure out. However, there is always times whereby i can't find the "reason".

I asked God to give me something during today's prayermeet. I thought He'd just give me a random thought and leave me there to figure out myself. This time, it was different. Different in the sense that it was pin-point and straight to the point, it's also something that seems to be what i've been trying to find out( the "reason"). Sy talked about sincerity of your heart during worship and the phone call thing today(check here). I felt kinda "guilty" as i know that its quite often whereby i only go to God when i have a demand. I don't ask sincerely, i demand things from Him. I demanded victory, i demanded miracles, etc. And the "reason" why He refuses to answer me might be because he wants me to be desperate. Desperate in asking Him to turn the situation around or desperate in finding out the "reason". Only when i'm desperate, i know i'm in no position to demand anything from God and thus, my prayer become more sincere.

When you're in love, you'd long for anything from the one you love. Even if it is just hearing their voices over the phone. Similarly, God longs for our heart-felt prayers. He loves us so much that He would actually break his own heart( by not answering prayers and breaking ours) in exchange for our "voices". This reflects how insincere i've been towards Him.

Your words that hit me left me speechless. I could say nothing except 3 words; I am sorry.

If any group were to fail, it'd be the leader's fault. I failed to lead CD5 properly. Perhaps it was the lack of effort, or maybe its the lack of faith. But the ultimate result is that we failed to hit our target. Now that i'm going to go back to CD1, there must be a reason. I don't know what is planned, You know better.

And please, i pray that SportsFiesta this year will end before service. Please don't let it clash. For 3 years, we screwed it up every year because of the various reasons. This year, i pray, i pray that You'll finally grant us the victory we deserve. All these years, You mould us into the best players in the school, the so-called "imbal" team. This year, help us - to be the real U-16 soccer champions.

I'm playing better day by day, i can feel it. I successfully did a bicycle kick in the streetsoccer court during a match last friday and it was just a little tiny bit over the goal. Step by step, i'll be at my best - i'm sure. I don't feel as stress anymore, probably because i don't sleep in class now. So, Midyears don't seem as scary now. AND, i got back my msn password after countless times of trying.

My comp crashed and i went to reformat it. Everything is gone and I freaking forgot my MSN password. Hotmail is so dumb to send me a email with the new password when i can't even get into my inbox. They didn't give me any link either. -.- wth. Forget about it, I don't intend to get it back anytime soon because I think God wants me to study and I should. I wanna play like him,

For the past few weeks, i was amazed by how Ronaldo was hitting the headlines week after week. I was crazy over his insane freekicks and kept trying to kick like the way he does. I even went on Youtube and watched his videos over and over again. But obviously, i still failed. But that didn't stop my desire to imitate Ronaldo's play.
And if i could put in so much effort to try to be like Ronaldo who is "imperfect", what about Jesus? Don't I want to be like Jesus? To serve like Him, to love like Him, to lead like Him. It is obvious i can't be Ronaldo but i didn't stop trying. It is obvious we can't be like Jesus but why aren't we trying? Afterall, its how much we do that counts.
Time to get back on track. Not Ronaldo but Jesus.

I feel the fire coming back. Perhaps its because this is the final hurdle, I've wasted so much time for the past few weeks and no mistake this time. One attempt, make it count. I used to dream about visitors occupying the rows of Nexus but end up not doing enough to help realise these dreams. Had a debate with Jem yesterday over the Hope Premier League thing. The debate went on for quite long and i guess it was probably because both of us stood firm in defending what we believe is more important(Going down to play or not). Even though the debate ended after 1 was willing to give in, i believe it didn't end just there. We still had different opinions, both had valid reasons for his own stand. There is no right or wrong, it all depends on your own perception. And its because of this, fights break out because everyone thinks that he/she is right. People often forget that the ultimate judge is the One up there.

We're 2-0 down now, this reminded me of how Liverpool won the champions league a few years back. They were losing 3-0 and went back to 3-3. I told Him i wanted to start the match today, and i did. I told Him i want to play at least a half. Lol and true enough, i only played the first half. We were one goal down with 10 more mins to go and i told Him just give us one goal now. It came. The last prayer was for SJI to win, we came out winners in the end.

I realised one thing through all these; i only pray hard when im really desperate. I was really scared we will just lose like this. I prayed my heart out once again and it came true. Ricwan talked about passion today. And he said that passionate people can cause either a revival or a riot. This statement hit me hard. If you ever noticed, the reason why people start riots is because they are so passionate about the thing they want that they can't help it but to use force. So then what are we passionate about? Medals? Results? Wealth? Power? But has anyone ever thought about the thing called, Compassion? If we serve God just because others do or because we want to rise up as a CL quick then we might as well don't serve. This is because if our main purpose of serving is just to follow others or rise up, we will definitely give up in times of trouble. But when our passion is about having compassion for others, only then we will be able to do great things because we will then be more than willing to sacrifice.

I was really panicking and stressed up as i ran back and forth to church and back to sji for the finals. I knew God was with me, i knew He will make me victorious. If not, why would i predict so clearly that we will get into the finals and left church even before joel informed me we got in? Without faith, from where does victory come? I walked into the field with faith, i walked out of the field victorious. For now, all these are settled. Winning HCI is the next victory I'm gonna claim. Even though i made mistakes in prioritising today, i won't forget that i still have greater things to do. I'll step into HCI with faith and definitely step out victorious.

On the night before service, I told God that i wanted 2 HCI and 1 ACS(b) contact. At 11pm, there were none. At 12am i told Him again, u see my guys all desiring to work for u. Edwin, Zj asking and waiting till 12am and Julian rushing down after training to attend seed meeting. Why? why? Even though its just 3days we've worked, we gave our ALL, our 100%. CCA training meant so so so much to the guys and they skipped it for You. Especially Edwin. They are young in Christ, but yet they're willing to sacrifice. All we ask is just 2 visitors. At 1230am, there were still none. I told God again, ok Lord all we ask now is 1 HCI and 1 ACS(b) visitor. We're still asking, we're still waiting in faith even till this hour. Edwin and I took cab all the way to Newtown for You this afternoon. We are DESPERATE.

Lol crap, i've been sleeping in class for don't know how many days in a row. But anyway, went over to HCI to evax today after school. Before going, it was like as if everything was coming against me. Weather like shit, people can't make it, it seemed as if there were no HCI students for us to evax at all. But God again, amazed me with how He answer my prayer. HCI bus stop turn out to be "flooded" and haha we broke our target for the day! We had around 50+ contacts when I targeted 50. Calvin, Alvern, KS, Joel loi came over to help and really thank God for all of you! We will be down for ACS(B) next week surely. I'm reminded of one thing today, keep trusting even till the last min. Piles and piles of overdued work seem impossible to clear. Even after i spent 2 whole days to try and complete it, it just seem to be more. No wonder it was call holiday assignment. This year wasn't how i expected it to be just like last year, deadlines extended for weeks. Instead, tomorrow/by friday was the answer i got. Just 2 days into school, and i feel like swearing already( ok, maybe not). "Leaders are not chosen by God", after hearing this from a sermon by Meeks, it led me to thinking deeper. People always say God appoints leader and yes He do but He appointed everyone to be of leadership material. But why then still does some people don't get to rise up? I guess it depends very much on how much we want to lead in this Kingdom of God.
The most common obstacle that most people face would be parental objection. And its because of this parental objection that is stopping them from being able to take up more responsibilities. But usually the problem lies with the person himself/herself because they often don't dare to break the news to their parents or use extreme methods to show them(parents) how big their desire are. Desire and want is a 100% thing, if you're going to be 99% desiring but just 1% unsure, you're never going to break the fear/po because of that 1%. Why i say 100% would be because if you really want something, you will get it through whatever methods( eg. buy something. you may decide to not eat everyday or whatever to save up for it) and so fear/po is no longer a problem once you desire totally(100%). This is probably why only some are chosen to be leaders, not because they are more capable but because they desired more and did more. They simply just volunteered themselves through their actions; proving to God their 100% desire to lead.

Met zach/ric/jem/des up for dinner and sy(xanthe) came after that, jingwen could'nt make it cos of netball camp. Zach again reminded us about the "big picture" again while touching on the sentosa masquerade. Hey and i thought it was cool to cheer while being piggyback-ed. But anyway, went on to walk around and jem got his "the rock" belt! Haha the buckle was a bull's head or maybe a cow's. Then went over to taka and zach/des/me got ourselves shirts with cheeky words on it. (eg. zach's CHICK MAGNET) suits him alot hur. HAHA. Walked into FOXY where jem got his yellow hoody after trying so many others. haha yay now jem looks like a rapper. Walked to cine for supper and then over to heeren to check out des's pants and then home. Walked for quite long actually but a great time of fellowship with the fellow CLs.

As i was thinking back last night, the memories of Christmas eve last year nearly brought tears to my eyes again. For those who know about it, you know why. This year's Christmas was somewhat the same but somehow different. I simply just did the same things differently with different people. Even though it was just a short simple message from zach, it made me reflect alot. What have i done last year? What have i done this year? What am i going to do next year. To my people, i was not as spiritual as you think. But i was able to let go and stand up again. And you all know standing up again is never a easy task but instead painful. More challenges will come along and the more painful it will get. But it's because of you guys, i'm still going despite the pain and sacrifices i've to make.

Why is serving so hard? Why do things not go our way? These questions tend to pop up in our mind as we serve God. As we commit ourselves to serving, we'll definitely face problems. To me, sometimes these problems are more than i expected.So much that i can't handle and questions will start coming. But how then are we suppose to carry on and pick ourselves up? Good things are always worth fighting for and sacrifices will definitely come as we fight for these things. Same goes in serving God, if the "reward" in heaven ain't appealing then why is it that serving is so hard? It definitely must be a "reward" worth fighting for right? Since we know that what we are fighting for is worth our efforts, why do we still ask why? Focus on what we will get in heaven and not what we want on earth.

Recognise my efforts as i serve. Remind me to look ahead, far ahead so that i will work towards it- gold medal in heaven.

The question of "what if God was fake?" really made me think alot. What if it was really fake? All the things i've/am doing would all be plain rubbish. And i'd be wasting my life away. But everytime doubts appear in my mind, miracles appear in my life. So many of them, all coming at the perfect timing. Surely, surely, its not coincidence. Take today for example... my very own shepherd, jem. The holy spirit, God's touch was so obvious in him. And it definitely also shows how desperate he was for God. And so from now on, how much i serve will not be my own choice. It will be Yours Lord. You say it, i do it and do it to my very very very best. Think beyond, do beyond.

The difference between a average leader and a outstanding leader would be in the mind and heart. If a leader has totally no plans for the group, the group's progress won't be fast. This is because without a destination in mind, you won't know where/how to proceed and thus slowing down. Goals are important, goals are the ones that make you go forward. Just like the trackers all sprinting to a common destination, the finishing line. If we're just satisfied with where we are now, slowly other groups will catch up, definitely. And so, think beyond. Think of the consequences of slowing down or even stopping in our group's growth and also think of our prize if we were to chiong and finish the race. A "gold medal" in heaven.

Goals may be important, but hitting the goals are even more important. Goals are meant to be hit. If u set goals and dont hit it then i don't see any point of setting the goals in the first place. As a leader, definitely more is required of u. No one will take the extra mile but the leader. Leadership is about action not position. If the one leading does not do anything extra or outstanding, then hes just like any other member in the group. Everyone can do things beyond, its just whether they want to or not. God won't choose people who are incapable neither will He want people who are unwilling. And so, have a heart thats willing to serve and go the extra mile to do things beyond required. Only with this type of attitude, God will use us greatly...

And i'll humble myself to do more things for You.

Prayer meet was on wed when we all prayed for cf2 to grow and to break our usually 4 or 5 service attendance. It only took 3 days for that prayer to be answered.... Saturday, we had 8. Yes 8, more than one green row. Even though we only hit 4 or 5 for confirmation the day before. All the credit goes to one person. The person who brought us all together and then breaking us but slowly moulding us now. From the past 2(me and jem only) to 8 for service on sat..if not for God's grace, i can't find any other reason for that increase in number..and i know the number wont just stop at 8. It will definitely grow, to a much greater number that none of us will know. Only He knows whats in plan for us. Perhaps what we(cf2) can do now is continue to grow and also to sow, as much as we can. We won't know the timing and so we will expect the unexpected with faith. 6th October, one blue row? haha, perhaps it might even be 2 blue rows? haha, just watch. God works in ways we don't understand but He works in ways that are best for us.

Deu 28, after that prayer, it was confirmed and the choice is made. I'll go all out and no backing out. For the people, for the kingdom, for Him. Of course, with me alone its not possible. Yes i need help, but not from anyone else but God...Help me Lord, help me to serve better...

This thought came to me during meta today.
In a team/caregroup, everyone's growth is important. How fast the caregroup grow all depends on the members. Not only the leaders, the leaders are there to be the example for everyone to follow and not the one that are doing everything. Sometimes we tend to neglect a few people that are not so teachable but wait, they are still in the caregroup and the way they carry out themselves are important because people still look to them as ambassadors of Christ. Neglecting them would make it worse. Afterall, the caregroup's growth is as fast as the slowest growing member. We serve together, play together and do life together. No one will be left behind. This is how a caregroup will grow. And this is probably the reason why cf2 isn't growing fast enough i guess....

I believe that God has place this OBS course for me to grow personally. I was too eager to grow my people/cf2 till i sortta neglected my own growth. Through OBS i realised that i still love myself more then i love others. I would think of my own benefit first before i think of others. In hard times, i was no difference from a non-believer. God kept telling me to love people, share the food even though I'm hungry, help them carry the stuff even though I'm as tired. To think there was once i totally didn't care about Joel and ate the one and only biscuit i had without telling him there was one. After that, i was disappointed with myself but most importantly, i know God was dissappointed too. I'm sorry, really. From now on, i will try my best to be self-less. Help me.
God had also used this OBS course to tell me that i can defintely serve Him much harder. In hard times, its human instinct to fight for your survival. You will be willing to step out of your comfort zone. Just like when you're dying of thrist and u see dirty water. I'm sure on the verge of dying, u will drink it no matter how dirty the water is. But in normal daily life, will u?The answer would probably be no. On the verge of dying, you're desperate. Normal daily life you're not. This shows that u can step out of your comfort zone, its just whether u want or not. This goes the same for the KOG, sometimes we are not able step out of our comfort zone to invite people or do things for Him. That is because we are not desperate enough and had not tired enough to go to the extreme. And well, it's a matter of choice because we can choose to be or not to be desperate.
So, how hard we want to serve God it's our choice and once decided, our actions will then be our words.

8th this term, good enough? Of course to me, its definitely not good enough at first because 1st was my target. I got no one to blame but myself. I know i didn't work hard enough to even deserve top 10. God, thanks. I wouldn't go this far without You. I also know another reason why i didn't get 1st. The timing is not right. God knows me very well, and i know myself. If i were to get 1st, i would probably get too complacent and screw up my final year. And so, what i have now is what is best for me because He has planned it. I dont need to know why things dont go my way sometimes, i just need to know that one reason is enough, "His plans are the best.".

Many say they wanna do well for exams, but many don't mug as hard. Many say they wanna win medals for their CCA, but many don't train as hard. Many say they have made a study plan for the term, but you see them online every single day for more than 4hours. And i don't deny that i belong in that category. But come to think of it now, its stupid. Really. You said how much u want a miracle or a achievement, but u don't try and work for it.
God won't just throw u a gift from the sky and poof! there u get what u have desired so much for the past few days/months/years. It was said that 100%man + 100%God = 100%miracles. And its true but often why we don't get our miracles happening is because we haven't even give our 100% yet. When we ourselves don't wanna make that effort to give our 100%, what makes you think we deserve God's 100%? Will He even be bothered to help us when we don't bother to try our best? Yes? No? Maybe? I really don't know. Maybe through His grace we might get a few miracles that we didnt work for cause He love us so much. But thats only 50-50 chance. But by giving our 100%, it will be a definite answer. Whatever we ask for, whatever miracles we want, will come.
